Ohgane Korean BBQ - Rancho Cordova: Authentic Korean BBQ with Fresh Meats & Exceptional Service

Good food and good selection of not-heavily-marinated meats (typically, KBBQ places will serve marinated meats to mask the quality of the meat). Great selection of appetizer dishes. Was greeted by the GM and overall service was good and fast. Will return.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! No photos unfortunately, I was very much simply enjoying my food in the moment and sparing no thoughts to my phone. The restaurant was clean, spacious and inviting. The staff were friendly, quick and thorough. It was never difficult to get someone's attention. Banchan was delicious and plentiful and refills of favourites came swiftly. The mains were as great - fresh and high quality meats in impressive variety. I also really like their hot sauce, and I asked at the end if they sold bottles of it to take home. They do not, but a wonderful lady whose name I unfortunately didn't catch brought me a container of it to take with me! I was, and still am very touched by the gesture. My husband and I were there celebrating our second anniversary and we both walked away stuffed full and happy. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at Ohgane! The food was excellent and the side dishes were a real highlight. The pumpkin squash (looked like an egg potato salad), eggplant, and okra were especially tasty. Meat quality was solid, and everything came out quickly on the conveyor belt. Appetizers were served by staff, and the seafood tofu soup was delicious. We also tried the soy glazed chicken and seafood pancakes, both very good. The portions are small, but I actually liked that because there’s no limit on what you can order from the tablet. It helps reduce waste since so many people tend to “order with their eyes.” We got full before trying much of the sushi (just one roll) and didn’t get to the self-serve ramen station, so that’s on the list for next time. We went around 8 PM until closing and it wasn’t busy, so we were seated right away. Servers weren’t too talkative, but the GM John (I think) checked on us multiple times and was very attentive. The older Korean lady working there was kind too. I also liked the “call” button on the side of the table, very convenient. We’re avid eaters from Elk Grove and honestly, if this experience stays consistent, I’d choose this place over Oz, Blue House, Gogi, Gangnam Ave, Daikon, and the rest.

I had a pleasant experience at Ohgane Korean BBQ, where the staff provided attentive service and a warm welcome. The food was reasonably priced, and I would recommend returning. Carson and Karla delivered excellent service, and Manager John was particularly courteous.

This place is SOOO much better than the previous kbbq that was here before! The service is awesome. The menu is so much easier to understand and the prices are way better! AND the quality of the banchan and meat are sooo much better!

I'm always looking out for reviews before trying out new places... I saw many months ago really bad reviews... and then some very good recent reviews. Overall under 4 stars!? What?? But I love Korean BBQ.... and I just had to try this out with my husband and kid. Wow, I'm sorry but service was great. Food overall was great (with maybe one or two out of 20 dishes that was okay). But let me talk about the service we had. We had the host/waiter greeted us (idk what they're called) took us and seated us. He gave us an overview since it was our first time. Then another guy came, which we thought was a waiter, came too and helped us out. Could be a bus boy, idk, but he acted like a waiter... along with the host/waiter guy every so often that came to check on us, refill water, ask us if we're okay, etc. Then we ordered and a lady bought over our rice. She checked in on us too. And then often brings us our food and also asked us if we needed anything. When it came to checkout, a different lady came with the check and also asked if we needed anything. Our regular two guys kept coming to ask us too. Man do i feel like we were VIP. Their customer service was top notch... they all did their job with a smile. I couldnt tell if it was a fake smile or not but it made me feel welcomed. Though the food selection was a bit underwhelming in each category, our stomach was so happily full at the end with about 2 1/2 full orders for us 3 (more like 2.25). Oh, and course A+ was well worth it for us... other than my daughter who didnt really eat much at all. I wished kids had just one selection regardless of what adults got... but the lady who gave us our check noticed and was nice enough to move our child to A menu. Again, top notch service. I hope it wasnt just because there wasnt a lot of people (12 noon) on a Sunday, but I've been to many restaurants with no people and service was crappy. Will definitely come here again!
